Our Llewellin Setter Photos! I apologize for our poor photo's. I am no photographer and I always forget to take photo's until the hunt is almost over. We always miss countless photo opportunities of our dogs pointing, retrieving and backing, because we are busy enjoying our dogs and making memories in our heads and not thinking about getting photos to promote our dogs. Most of these photos in the field were taken the last 20 minutes of a long day of hunting. We will try and do better in the future. As you can see none of our dogs have sickle tails on point. All dogs are PURE DASHING BONHU! 2007-2008 Season
A good afternoon of hunting with family and some young Dashing Bondhu's
L-R Russ, Mikey, & Dennis watching dogs work the field.
GDC Dashing Bondhu Ringo (15 months)
Dennis on left and Mikey on right approaching Ringo on another point,
this was a wild covey of native Kentucky Bob-whites of which they took two birds.
GDC Dashing Bondhu Princess (2 years) an outstanding natural bird dog
and a proven reproducer of the same.
Dennis all smiles :) This was his first quail hunt!
A mixed bag!
(about 20 quail taken in morning not shown in photo)
GDC Dashing Bondhu Hank (14 months) an awesome bird dog
and an exception proven reproducer of the same.
Russ with Princess, she pointed solid on several Pheasents her first day.
Point!
Above, Mikey approaching Ringo on point once again!
Mikey keeping an eye on Princess in hopes of another Pheasant.
GDC Dashing Bondhu Hank located another few bob-whites!
Russ on left and Mikey on right watching Princess work the field. Above, Hank on right frozen on point and Ringo backing him on the left. Both dogs were going full speed when Hank hit a bird's sent and locked up just about on top of each other. Either males or females will work well together and honor each others points naturally.
GDC Dashing Bondhu Chess, unfortunately we did not get any of her hunting,
but we sure will in the future, she is as good a bird dog as one can get.
OK, here is a picture with me in it. I'm (Mike Sr.) on the left, next is my son Mikey in the middle and my nephew Dennis on right after a great afternoon of hunting! We had hunted all day and the birds shown are only those we got after lunch break. We had already cleaned the morning's birds. Photo taken by my buddy and brother in-law Russ Chapmen.
We cannot wait until next year, so we can all do it all over a again.
